Статья посвящена изучению кавказского периода (июнь 1846 г. – май 1851 г.) жизни и
 творчества Я.П.Полонского с точки зрения преемственности поэтических традиций 20-х – 40-х годов
 XIX в. и постулирования художником жизнетворческой концепции поэта романтического толка /
 «чистого искусства». В стихотворениях кавказского цикла ощутимо синтезированное влияние
 романтических кумиров молодого Я.П.Полонского – Пушкина и Лермонтова. Романтические традиции
 начала XIX в. накладываются на индивидуально-психологические и биографические факторы поэта. Стаття присвячена вивченню кавказького періоду (червень 1846 р. – травень 1851 р.)
 життя та творчості Я.П.Полонського з точки зору спадковості поетичних традицій 20-х – 40-х років
 XIX ст. і настанови та затвердження митцем життєтворчої концепції поета романтичного толку /
 «чистого мистецтва». В віршах кавказького циклу відчутно синтезований вплив романтичних кумирів
 молодого Я.П.Полонського – Пушкіна та Лермонтова. Романтичні традиції початку XIX ст.
 накладаються на індивідуально-психологічні та біографічні чинники. The paper studies the Caucasus period (June 1846 – May 1851) of Ya.P. Polonsky’s life and works in
 terms of continuity of poetic traditions of 1820s – 1840s and postulating the poet’s life creation concept of
 romantic type / «pure art». The specificity of artistic existence of a lyrical hero of the given period of creative
 activity is due to the superposition of the romantic tradition of the early XIX century on poet’s individual,
 psychological and biographical factors. The synthesized influence of young Ya.P. Polonsky’s romantic idols
 Pushkin and Lermontov is tangible in the poems of the Caucasus cycle. First of all, it affects Polonsky’s love
 lyrics: romantic mystification in love lyrics essentially transforms the real facts, which is completely within the
 framework of the romantic laws (the issue of the addressee of the poem «To Princess S.A.G-na», «Do not wait»).
 Most of the poems written in Transcaucasia are related to national romantic traditions of Armenian and
 Georgian people – the works are filled with ethnographic elements, Georgian, Tatar vocabulary is widely used
 (in poet's notes to the collection «Sazandar» the words written in Georgian are repeatedly found). Close communication with the leaders of Georgian, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Tatar cultures (with scientists Bakikhanov
 [Abbas Kuli Khan] and Mirza Fatali Akhundov) initiated Ya.P. Polonsky’s historical-romantic poems – they
 appear in a period of deep interest of Tbilisi society in the issues of its history, above all, the legendary «age of
 Queen Tamara».
