У даній роботі здійснюється намагання розглянути витоки і причини виникнення і еволюції
 шпигунського роману як окремого жанру у контексті історичних подій. Залежність літературного
 вектору від хронологічних змін світового політичного балансу не підлягає сумніву. В работе предпринимается попытка рассмотреть истоки и причины возникновения и
 эволюции шпионского романа как отдельного жанра в контексте исторических событий. Зависимость
 литературного вектора от хронологических изменений мирового политического баланса не подлежит
 сомнению. In this work the sources and the reasons of appearing and evolution of the spy novel as a separate
 genre in the context of historical events are under consideration. The lower chronological level is the time of
 forming bipolar world, spreading the so-called spy mania and its penetration into all spheres of life. The upper
 level is determined by the serious changes in politics, economics and ideology. Nowadays has shown the
 possibility of achievement the successful negotiations, mutual searching for dialogues, peaceful coexistence.
 Accordingly, the subject of spy novels, the way of presenting and form, as well as ideological direction are
 changed. The protagonist of the spy novel is also not a stable unity. Started from the kind of a romantic hero, he
 is developing and the direction of his development is closely connected with the political historical background.
 One more interdependent criterion influencing the evolution of the spy novel is the surrounding where the main
 character finds himself. The rougher the surrounding is – the more cynical the protagonist becomes. The
 evolution of the main character goes side by side with the evolution of the spy novel genre.
