Статья посвящена изучению проблемы «потерянного поколения». В работе проведено исследование проблемы «потерянного поколения» в творчестве Э. М. Ремарка. Также, рассмотрена проблема «потерянного поколения» в западном и отечественном литературоведении. «Потерянное поколение» противопоставило обманувшему их миру горькую иронию, ярость, бескомпромиссную и всеохватную критику устоев фальшивой цивилизации, что и определило место этой литературы в реализме, несмотря на пессимизм, общий у нее с литературой модернизма.
Стаття присвячена вивченню проблеми «загубленого покоління». В роботі проведено дослідження проблеми «загубленого покоління» у творчості Е. М. Ремарка на матеріалі романів. Також, розглянута проблема «втраченого покоління» в західному та вітчизняному літературознавстві. «Втрачене покоління» протиставило обдурившому їх світу гірку іронію, лють, безкомпромісну і всеосяжну критику засад фальшивої цивілізації, що і визначило місце цієї літератури в реалізмі, незважаючи на песимізм, загальний у неї з літературою модернізму.
The article is devoted to the study of the problem of «lost generation».In work problem research "the lost generation" in E.M. Remarque's creativity is conducted. Also, the problem of "the lost generation" in the western and domestic literary criticism is considered. "The lost generation" opposed to the world which has deceived them bitter irony, rage, uncompromising and all-embracing criticism of foundations of a false civilization, as defined a place of this literature in realism, despite pessimism, the general at it with modernism literature. Remarque belongs to a generation of writers, whose views were formed under the influence of the First World War. Prose of "lost generation" is peculiar unmistakably recognizable poetics. This is a lyrical prose, where the facts of reality skipped through the prism of perception of the hero, is very close to the author. Not accidentally, the beloved form of "lost" - the first-person narrative, suggesting instead epically detailed descriptions of the events excited and emotional responses to them. The narrative is going like it was perceived as a story about personally experienced. The author hasn’t the aim to dig for the real perpetrators of war. The world of nature is the only thing that he can oppose the war, life in its pristine forms: clear sky over the head, the rustle of leaves. The strength of the hero to go forward with clenched teeth, gives touching the ground. While the peace of person with his dreams, doubts, worries and joys crumbling, nature lives. In the literature of the "lost generation " for the hero, the characters, the plot feels like the author is deeply fascinated with the possibilities of human cognition, search of ways and methods of realization of this possibility in the art world of the individual works.
