У статті зроблена спроба семантичного опису російських орнітонімів з метою визначення набору головних ознак у їх тлумаченні для лексикографічної репрезентації. Ядро семантичного опису орнітонімів представляють ознаки зовнішнього вигляду і колоратівної властивості птиці; локативна, просторово-часова властивості перебувають у зоні периферії. Набір семантичних ознак у тлумаченні є непостійним. Nuclear semantic features are the appearance and the сolor characteristic of birds - ie it is structurally relevant characteristics. Communicatively relevant characteristics such as the locative, the space and time characteristics, some verbal features remain at the periphery. A set of semantic features is unstable. The most striking of them stand out, but in some cases, this results in addressing to the extra-linguistic information, which is problematic for some people who do not know the rules of the language and do not actively using the language in various fields. While reprezenting the ornytonim , the author of the dictionary article uses a variety of practical techniques , thus it lists the individual ornytonim’s values . This is either the value in a strictly historical manner on the basis of existing cases, or the values in the order of their frequency of occurrence, to extent that this parameter is available to monitor and, finally, some other list them mostly in order, corresponding to the frequency of their occurrence, but sometimes deviate from it when it is necessary to group together closely interrelated ornytonim’s values . The article attempts to describe the semantic of Russian to identify a set of key features in their interpretation. The core of their semantic description signs is the appearance and characteristics of birds’ colors; locative, spatial and temporal characteristics are within the periphery.
