Статья посвящена актуальной проблеме вариативности передачи немецких собственных
 имен в русском языке. Цель публикации заключается в рассмотрении причин вариативности и попытке
 обоснования выбора вариантов. Материалом для анализа служат примеры из публицистических
 текстов на страницах Интернета. Транскрипция, признанная основным способом передачи
 антропонимов и топонимов, используется наряду с традиционным способом их воспроизведения.
 Варьирование обозначения на протяжении одного текста ведет к затруднению его понимания. Стаття присвячена актуальній проблемі варіювання німецьких власних імен в російській
 мові. Мета публікації полягає в розгляді причин варіативної репрезентаціїі і спробі обгрунтування
 вибору варіантів. Матеріалом для аналізу служать приклади з публіцистичних текстів на сторінках
 Інтернету. Транскрипція, яка визнана основним засобом передання антропонімів і топонімів,
 використовується разом з традиційним засобом їх відтворення. Варіювання позначення упродовж
 одного тексту веде до ускладнення його розуміння. The article is devoted to the problem of variation of German proper nouns in the Russian
 language. The purpose of the publication is to examine the causes of presentation variability and
 attempt to justify choices. Examples of journalistic texts on the Internet pages became materials for
 analysis. Transcription, which is recognized to be a predominant mode of representation of
 anthroponyms and toponyms, is used along with the traditional way to represent them. Personal and
 geographical names that are not fixed by the tradition are represented according to the modern rules
 of practical transcription. The names of famous German-speaking representatives of intellectual and political elites, and well-known toponyms fixed by numerous written sources, are represented
 according to certain tradition as it is easy to detive them. Following the phonetic principle is largely due
 to the intention to preserve national character of a proper name. In the context of intense international
 communication phonetic form of foreign proper names becomes more recognizable and prestigious, which
 explains the preferential use of transcription relative to modern anthroponyms. It is important to maintain the
 uniformity of the representation of a proper name throughout the text. Using options on different pages of one
 site shows a lack of general editing, hinders understanding of the text. Choice of an option should be based on
 the authoritative reference books editable.
