Статья посвящена анализу обширного духовно-интеллектуального наследия выдающегося
 церковного и общественного деятеля – Архиепископа Таврического и Симферопольского Гурия
 (Карпова). В работе используется широкий пласт как малоизвестных дореволюционных, так и архивных
 источников. Автор рассматривает такие аспекты деятельности Архиепископа Гурия, как организация
 церковной жизни, вклад в науку, культуру, миссионерскую деятельность, философско-теологическое
 достояние. Стаття присвячена аналізу багатої духовно-інтелектуальної спадщини видатного
 церковного й громадського діяча – Архієпископа Таврійського та Сімферопольського Гурія (Карпова). У
 роботі використовується широкий пласт як маловідомих дореволюційних, так і архівних джерел. Автор
 розглядає такі аспекти діяльності Архієпископа Гурія, як організація церковного життя, вклад у науку,
 культуру, місіонерську діяльність, філософсько-теологічну спадщину. The article is devoted the analysis of vast spiritual-intellectual legacy of prominent church and public
 figure – Archbishop Tavricheskiy and Simferopol'skiy Guriy (Karpov). A wide layer is in-process used both not
 popular pre-revolution and the archived sources. An author examines such aspects of activity of Archbishop
 Guriy, as organization of church life, contribution to science, culture, missionary activity, philosophicaltheology
 property. The separate aspect of work is conditioned the analysis of mutual relations of prominent
 church figure with the representatives of other religious flows. In particular, correspondence is examined with Z.
 Zakharov, which testifies to the high level of christian respect of Archbishop to the man of other looks, about his
 toleration and high level of formed. This experience is especially actual in the modern world. An author examines the ponderable contribution of Archbishop to science, marks his deep formed. Ethnography,
 religiovedenie, philosophy, theology, study of a particular region, linguistics was tested on itself substantial
 deposit from the side of this prominent church figure. By a serious landmark in development of education
 opening of the Tavricheskaya spiritual seminary which became the important center of education on the
 Crimean peninsula.
