The paper outlines the main stages of the
history of Cimmerian Bosporus in the Middle
Ages 7 to 15 century. The main problem of the
medieval history of the Bosporus author sees a
factor of Byzantine influence, which is faced with
the impact of the various peoples of the Northern
Black Sea coast – the Khazars, the Rus, the Tatars,
the Genoese.
