Розглянуто відносини галицько-волинських князів з литовськими князями з початку ХІІІ ст. і до кінця ХІV ст. Особлива
 увага звернена на періоди діяльності Данила
 Романовича, Лева Даниловича та Любарта-Дмитра Гедиміновича. Запропонована спроба розв’язання деяких дискусійних проблем,
 зокрема загибелі князя Войшелка Міндовговича, причин конфронтації 1275–1277 рр.,
 обставин приходу до влади князя Болеслава-Юрія Тройденовича. The article is devoted to the problems of
 Lithuanian politics of Galych-Volynian princes,
 cpecifi cally of prince Lev Danilovych. The initial
 contacts between Lithuanian dukes and Lev
 Danilovych in support of duke Tovtyvil during
 the fi rst phase of the struggle for the Austrian
 Inheritance were considered. The analysis of the
 death of Voyshelk was done the manifestations
 and results of the union between Lev Danilovich
 and Troyden were shown. Also the reasons and
 run of the war with Lithuania in 1275 – early
 1280’s. The initial following relations with Lithuania
 to the closing of XIV century.
