Розглядаються позитивні й негативні тенденції розвитку інформаційного (постіндустріального) суспільства. З позицій сучасної постнекласичної науки оцінюється обмежуючий вплив законів універсуму на можливості розвитку суспільства. Констатується наростання самовідчуження людства, зумовлене лавиноподібним ускладненням його інструментального базису, що не може не викликати занепокоєння.
