In Subbotin Institute of Geophysics of the NAS of Ukraine scientific research on the study of the deep structure of lithosphere by geological and geophysical methods is actively conducted. In particular, in order to detect oil and gas occurrence using deep seismic sounding, the deep structure of the Transcarpathian trough is studied in detail. According to preliminary data, in its depths there may be massive reservoirs of hydrocarbons at the depths of 5-17 km. |
