Резюме:Species composition of benthic algae at 28 stations of the Lower Dniester basin (the Dnister River, the Dniester Estuary, the Kuchurgan Reservoir, lakes Bile, Pisarske, and wetlands) was monitored, documented and analyzed. The material for the investigation was samples collected from the vascular aquatic plants (Ceratophyllum demersum L., Lemna minor L., Phragmites australis (Cav.) Trin. ex Steud., Potamogeton pectinatus L., P. perfoliatus L., Trapa natans L., Typha angustifolia L., Urticularia vulgaris L.), macroscopic algae (Сladophora glomerata (L.) Kütz., Chaetomorpha herbipolensis Lagerh., Spirogyra sp., Ulothrix flacca (Dillwyn) Thur., U. zonata (Weber et Mohr) Kütz., Ulva sp.), rocks, soft and muddy soils during the dry season (2000−2025). As a result of processing 232 original samples, 269 species of microscopic algae were identified, represented by 272 intraspecific taxa belonging to 119 genera, 61 families, 37 orders, 10 classes, 6 divisions, 4 kingdoms and 2 domains (empires). Among them are 16 species (Chrysamoeba radians G.A.Klebs, C. scherffelii (Pascher) Matvienko, Mallomonas elliptica (Kissel.) Conrad., Craticula buderi (Hust.) Lange-Bert., Cyclostephanos invisitatus (M.H.Hohn et Hellerm.) Theriot, Stoermer et Hakananson, Cymbella neoleptoceros Krammer, Halamphora exigua (W.Greg.) Levkov, Hantzschia virgata (Roper) Grunow, Iconella curvula (W.Sm.) Ruck et Nakov, Navicula alinae Lange-Bert., Pseudostaurosira naveana (Le Cohu) Morales et Edlund, Staurosira leptostauron (Ehrenb.) Kulikovskiy et Genkal, Pinnularia fonticola Hust. (Lake Bile), Luticola heufleriana (Grunow) D.G.Mann, Nitzschia microcephala Grunow, Tryblionella acuta (Cleve) D.G.Mann) are new for the algal flora of the Dnister basin. The area under study is characterized by highdiversity of heterokontophyes algae (186 species). There were 37 Cyanobacteria, 29 Chlorophyta, 8 Charophyta, 7 Euglenozoa, and 2 species of Dinoflagellata. The algae flora of the Lower Dniester reservoirs was freshwater, alkaliphilic and mesosaprobic. In relation to water salinity (mineralization), the species composition of algae was mainly freshwater (219 species or 81.8%), brackish water made up 28, marine — 20 species. In accordance with the hydrogen index (pH) of the environment, the microscopic algae of the studied reservoir prefer the alkaline reaction of the environment (alkaliphiles — 233 species; indifferents — 36). The saprobic index of the algae of the Lower Dniester water bodies was 2.33, which indicates that they belong to β-mesosaprobic. From the point of view of phytogeography, algoflora is represented by boreal (133 species), cosmopolitan (124) groups with arcto-boreal (2) and boreal-tropical (2) elements.
