Summary:The data on the second record of Tolypella intricata in Ukraine within the Middle Dnieper algofloristic subprovince are presented. The rare species for European flora in Ukraine T. intricata was first found in May 2010 in the Zachodnyi Bug River basin on the territory of the Lviv Region and for a long time this locality remained the only one. Currently, in May 2024, second location have been reviled in the Siverskiy Donets River basin on the territory of Kharkiv Region. Identification of the charophytes samples was carried out on the basis of morphological characters, the diagnostic significance of which was confirmed by molecular presence studies according to the literature. The second location of T. intricata confirms its existence in Ukraine. A description of morphological characters, information on general distribution, ecology and phenology, as well as a preliminary assessment of the sozological status of the species is provided.
