Metal and Casting of Ukraine| Zusammenfassung: | The possibility of increasing the efficiency of regulating the content of chemical elements in cast iron, which is smelted in induction crucible furnaces, by taking into account the instability of the chemical composition of the charge components is realised. The ideology and algorithm for determining the mass of charge components for cast iron smelting are formulated, which are based on taking into account probabilistic estimates of the distribution of chemical elements in the composition of the components and the application of the Monte Carlo method to take into account the instability of the content of chemical elements in the charge. Problems related to the supply of scrap metal and other metal raw materials to foundries and their use in cast iron smelting are considered. The results of the study of the distribution of chemical elements in the composition of ferromanganese and ferrosilicon, which are used in the charge in the smelting of cast iron intended for the manufacture of brake pads and “Khanin wedge” of railway transport, are given. A methodology has been developed for taking into account the probabilistic aspect of the instability of the chemical composition of scrap metal, ferroalloys, and other components of the charge in determining their number. Criteria of optimization (optimality) of the process of adjusting the chemical composition of cast iron during its smelting have been developed, which involve the use of “weighting factors” of the content of each chemical element in cast iron and allow taking into account their impact on casting quality and technical and economic performance. It is proposed to provide the highest weights of silicon and manganese in the smelting of cast iron intended for the manufacture of these foundries. It is recommended to predict and take into account the degree of burning of elements in the process of cast iron smelting at the stage of charge formation. The approximate composition of the charge for smelting synthetic cast iron for the purpose and the order of loading charge materials into induction crucible furnaces are determined. The main goals and objectives at the current stage of development of foundry production in terms of improving the technology, procedure, order, algorithm for regulating the chemical composition of synthetic cast iron during its smelting are to reduce the cost of casting. In particular, due to the introduction in practice of methods for adjusting the content of chemical elements in the cast iron melt and taking into account in the probabilistic aspect of the instability of the quality of the charge components, especially ferroalloys and scrap metal. |
