Резюме:The problem of quality assurance in foundry is associated with the solution of local technological problems at all stages of the metallurgical cycle in the triad “charge – melt – casting”. At the same time, cooperative, multifactorial and multifunctional phenomena of casting processes are realized. So, the indicated problem is multi-purpose and multifactorial. In this case, the most rational and effective is a systematic approach to quality management. At the same time, it is necessary to reliably display not only the elements of the system, but also to show the channels of information transfer, an influence on which can be achieving management. The purpose of the work is to compare the various principles of system modeling in solving the problem of casting quality management in foundry. In this paper, it was proposed to classify them as systems set forth either in the language of events or in the language of works. It is shown, that the first option involves the use of the method of abstractions, in which the variety of key factors determining quality can be combined with integral concepts that are considered as independent objects for analysis. Thus, the “charge – melt – casting” triad system, which contains some determinism, showing causation of three material objects, providing for performing some work to achieve the goal, is supposed to be replaced by abstract concepts of a different triad system – “treatment ability – efficiency – success fullness”. In this case, the abstractions system determines the intentions that should be aimed at the result – an event. Otherwise – the system in the language of work lays down the need to perform functions, and the system in the language of events focuses on the achievement of the ultimate goal – the required product quality. At the same time, it is possible to operate with different concepts, categories and laws, in which the internal communications of the system are most adequately displayed – these are the channels of information transfer. So, various quality management capabilities using target vectors are implemented. For separate production, they have their own characteristics. The paper emphasizes that the concept of the abstract triad “success fullness” contains a balance of ratios “price – quality”, supplemented by the concept “competitive ability”. This should guide manufacturers also on the legal and economic conditions of production. While the system of “charge – melt – casting” is limited ultimately to the finished goods warehouse.
