Резюме:Ductile cast irons of ferritic class with higher plasticity are widely used in production of machine parts that operate under shock-cyclic and dynamic loads, including at low temperatures. In the European Union countries ferritic ductile cast irons with strength Rm ≥ 450 MPa and elongation A ≥ 18 % (standard EN 1563:18, grade EN-GJS-450-18) are developed. Traditional production technologies of such cast irons are inefficient and they require the use of expensive refined blast furnace cast irons in the charge and energy-intensive heat treatment. The article presents the data on influence of the main structure formation factors on mechanical properties of ferritic ductile cast irons. The results of these studies allow: to clarify the optimal concentrations of chemical elements; to increase the intensity of physicochemical modifying and refining processes; to choose the rational heat treatment modes; to reduce the production cost of cast products. For implementation of this technology cheaper charge materials and high efficient ferrosilicon-magnesium-calcium modifiers are used at less energy consumption for castings heat treatment. The technology of obtaining ferritic class ductile cast iron, which has the following high mechanical properties (Rm = 497–541 MPa; A = 22.0–24.7 %; KC = 134–152 J/cm2 with Brinell hardness of 156–170 HB) has been developed. The research results create preconditions for the development of new parts designs for modern technic with given high mechanical properties and performance characteristics which blanks are obtained with casting method and of high-efficiency economic technologies for their production.
