Metal and Casting of Ukraine| Summary: | The prospects for the development of ferrous metallurgy of Ukraine until 2050 are considered, taking into account the consequences of the military aggression of the russian federation. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the current state, positive and negative factors of influence on the development of the industry, opportunities for the implementation of modern and promising technologies in metallurgical production have been determined. On the basis of a systemic approach, the project "Concept of sustainable development of ferrous metallurgy of Ukraine until 2050" was developed, the content and structure of which meet the requirements of the "Procedure for the development and implementation of state target programs" according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 31, 2007 No. 106. In the draft Concept possible scenarios and stages of development of ferrous metallurgy are presented, priority directions for the near, medium and long term are defined. It was emphasized that the development of the mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine as a whole should be connected with the strengthening of state support, the expansion of the domestic market of metal products, the development of modern technologies, the use of promising research results with systematic scientific and technical support of production. Prospective ways of improving technologies in all major metallurgical processes are proposed. It was noted that along with the modernization of the iron production process in blast furnaces, it is expedient to develop methods of direct recovery of iron. Progress in steelmaking is, first of all, connected with the improvement of modern oxygen-converter and electric steelmaking technologies. It is shown that rolled production also needs to modernize industrial equipment and expand the assortment of metal products. The successful solution of tasks and the implementation of future development directions defined by the Concept will allow the metallurgical industry to firmly establish itself on the path of sustainable growth and provide Ukraine with competitive advantages on the international market. |
