Summary:The theory of a new method of polarization-correlation mapping of biomedical images is presented. Algorithms for the determination and digital "two-point" analysis of the distributed modulus and argument of the azimuth and ellipticity of polarization-correlation maps are obtained. Computer modeling of the effectiveness of polarization-correlation analysis in the differentiation of polycrystalline structures with different levels of birefringence was carried out. An example of the application of the method in the differentiation of polarization-correlation maps of native histological brain sections with different ages of craniocerebral trauma is given.
