description This article analyses data on the spatial distribution and abundance of gulls, terns and skuas, as recorded during counts in August from 2004 to 2021. These censuses covered 80 wetlands along the northern coasts of the Black and Azov Seas, spanning the Ukrainian part of the Danube Delta to Krivaya Spit. A total of nine gull species, nine tern species and two skua species were recorded in the region. Their numbers varied between 203,000 and 435,000 birds annually.
