Economics and Law| Zusammenfassung: | The article proves that the market transformation of the domestic economic system is accompanied by strengthened interregional and international disproportions. In the context of "resource curse" the determining factor of such differences is a rent-seeking behavior. Hypothesis supporting the existence of sources of the economic rent are formulated and proved empirically. The losses of the domestic economy from the rent-seeking behavior are estimated in qualitative values.
