Economics and Law| Zusammenfassung: | The paper sheds light on the legal regulation of local governments’ powers to transfer land plots to citizens after the latest legislative amendments. Based on the survey, the proposals are given the acceptance of which would allow to eliminate the problems concerning the implementation of powers to transfer land plots into the ownership. Thus, it was concluded that the latest amendments to the legislation on improvement of land allotment procedure are not well-grounded and untimely, and therefore are subject to cancellation.
