The article advances the arguments that the communal property is an economic basis for economic management, namely of a city. It has been determined that the precondition for realizing economic legal personality of a city is the recognition of the right to communal property by its subject. The necessity is expressed to introduce into the Economic Code of Ukraine the classification of objects of the right to city’s communal property taking into account the degree of engagement in the economic turnover. В статье аргументировано, что коммунальная собственность выступает экономической основой хозяйствования именно города. Определено, что предпосылкой реализации городом хозяйственной правосубъектности является признание его субъектом права коммунальной собственности. Аргументирована необходимость закрепления в Хозяйственном кодексе Украины классификации объектов права коммунальной собственности города по признаку степени вовлечения в хозяйственный оборот. У статті аргументовано, що комунальна власність виступає економічною основою господарювання саме міста. Визначено, що передумовою реалізації містом господарської правосуб’єктності є визнання його суб’єктом права комунальної власності. Аргументовано необхідність закріплення у Господарському кодексі України класифікації об’єктів права комунальної власності міста за ознакою ступеня залучення до господарського обігу. V.
