The diagnostics of a regional society will allow to reveal general trends in the development of the society and on other hand_ on the basis of the regularities revealed to work out principles, goals and directions of the regional policy of society development. Раскрыта сущность понятия «диагностика регионального социума». Обоснованно, что диагностику регионального социума необходимо проводить в разрезе социальных групп с учетом их специфических функций, а также с учетом основных составляющих воспроизводства социальной жизни населения региона. Диагностика регионального социума позволит, с одной стороны, выявить общие тенденции развития социума с учетом их специфических условий жизнедеятельности, а с другой — на основе выявленных закономерностей развития разработать основные принципы, цели и направления региональной политики развития социума. Розкрито сутність поняття «діагностика регіонального соціуму». Обґрунтовано, що діагностику регіонального соціуму необхідно проводити в розрізі соціальних груп з їх особливими функціями та інтересами, а також з урахуванням основних складових відтворення соціального життя населення регіону. Діагностика регіонального соціуму дозволить, з одного боку, виявити загальні тенденції розвитку соціуму з урахуванням їх особливих умов життєдіяльності, а з другого — на основі виявлення закономірностей розвитку розробити основні принципи, цілі та напрями регіональної політики розвитку соціуму.
