The paper investigates the problem of insurance fraud as the product of motivation and its possibilities under information asymmetry. The concept «insurance fraud» is defined taking into account the role of the insurance market entities. The author classifies the insurance frauds and shows the difficulties in regulation of the insurance fraud counteraction processes. The expediency of creating the insurance detective agency as a necessary element of the safety mechanism and insurance fraud counteraction is grounded. The scheme of interrelations between an insurance detective agency, market subjects and public authorities has been built. Исследована проблема страхового мошенничества как продукт мотивации и возможностей в условиях асимметрии информации. Дано определение понятия «страховое мошенничество» с учетом роли субъектов страхового рынка. Проведена классификация страхового мошенничества и показана сложность регулирования процессов борьбы с мошенничеством. Обоснована целесообразность создания страхового детективного агентства как необходимого элемента механизма безопасности и противодействия страховому мошенничеству. Построена схема взаимоотношений между страховым детективным агентством, субъектами рынка и органами контроля. Досліджено проблему страхового шахрайства як продукту мотивації і можливостей в умовах асиметрії інформації. Визначено поняття «страхове шахрайство» з урахуванням ролі суб’єктів страхового ринку. Здійснено класифікацію страхового шахрайства і показано складність регулювання процесів боротьби із шахрайством. Обґрунтовано доцільність створення страхового детективного агентства як необхідного елемента механізму безпеки і протидії страховому шахрайству. Побудовано схему взаємовідносин між страховим детективним агентством, суб’єктами ринку і органами контролю. V.
