Zemelko, Yu.S. The paper analyses and identifies the factors which have a negative effect on Ukraine’s metallurgical industry’s competitiveness in the foreign market. To increase the competitiveness of the above industry, the increase in capital investments is necessary for making modernization of structure of metal products, excluding abandoned facilities from operation and reducing the staff; it will allow to produce high-tech products and thus, increase the proportion of metal in the external market. Проведен анализ и выявлены факторы, которые негативно влияют на конкурентоспособность металлургической отрасли Украины на внешних рынках. С целью повышения конкурентоспособности данной отрасли на внешних рынках было предложено увеличить объемы капитальных инвестиций для модернизации структуры производства металлопродукции, вывода из эксплуатации устаревших мощностей и сокращения количества работающих, что позволит перейти на выпуск высокотехнологичной продукции и таким образом увеличить долю на внешних рынках металла. Проведено аналіз і виявлено фактори, які негативно впливають на конкурентоспроможність металургійної галузі України на зовнішніх рингах. З метою підвищення конкурентоспроможності даної галузі на зовнішніх рингах було запропоновано збільшити обсяги капітальних інвестицій для модернізації структури виробництва металопродукції, виведення з експлуатації застарілих потужностей І скорочення кількості працюючих, що дозволить перейти на випуск високотехнологічної продукції і таким чином збільшити частку на зовнішніх ринках металу.
