Zusammenfassung:Gas zoning of natural gases of coal-rock massifs is based on changes in the composition of gas mixtures and the content of hydrocarbon gases in the mixture, including methane. The formation of coal-hydrocarbon formations is associated with the entire geological history of the development of coal-rock massifs of coal basins and the distribution of natural gases in them. The conditions for saturation of the Donbass coal massif with saturated (C2 - C3) and unsaturated hydrocarbons are determined by the duration of periods of increase or decrease in the carrying capacity of tectonic faults with the time of supply of hydrocarbons to them.
