Tectonics and stratigraphy| Summary: | The article presents the results of studies of the remains of the non-marine fauna from the site located near the village of Makedonivka (Lutuginsky district, Lugansk region). This site belongs to deposits of the Mospino Formation (Upper Bashkirian, Middle Carboniferous). From the deposits of this locality, the remains of bivalves, horseshoe crabs, Crossopterygii and Chondrichthyes were found. Animal traces belonging to ichnogenus Cochlichnus, Diplichnites, Diplopodichnus, Planolites, Selenichnites, and also, apparently, coprolites were studied. Traces of the damages of arthropods on plant organs were studied: ovipositions, galls, and eating of plants leaves. The oldest oviposition of an insect was found. Deposits were accumulated in the conditions of a lake, lagoon, swamp and delta. |
