It has been shown that 3-bromo-5-trifluoromethoxypyridine is a convenient and efficient synthon for palladium-catalyzed coupling reactions. The trifluoromethoxy group has been found to be remarkably stable against hydroiodic acid in contrast to the methoxy group. |
