Aim. This article presents an overview of the current distribution of Potentilla indica (Andrews) Focke (Rosaceae) in the flora of Ukraine, including its cultivation in botanical gardens and parks, as well as the spontaneous spread and ecological- coenotic characteristics of this species in Ukraine. Methods. Classical methods such as comparative floristics, alongside analysis of literature sources, herbarium materials, and electronic data resources. Results. Summary data on the cultivation of P. indica in Ukraine indicate its relatively widespread. The species was first documented as a greenhouse plant in Uman in 1885, and throughout the 20th century, it spread primarily within botanical gardens and other plant introduction centers. The first spontaneous occurrence was recorded in 1925 near Zhytomyr city. Now P. indica has been registered in various natural and anthropogenic habitats, primarily in large cities. A distribution map of the species has been developed, covering over 50 spontaneous and quasi-spontaneous habitats in 22 regions of Ukraine.Conclusions. P. indica is a relatively common ergasiophygophyte in the flora of Ukraine, with a tendency toward naturalization, especially in western and northern regions. The species demonstrates adaptability to anthropogenic habitats, though widespread invasions are not anticipated. Continued monitoring and research on the species' role in phytosociological communities remain relevant. Мета. Стаття присвячена огляду сучасного поширення Potentilla indica (Andrews) Focke (Rosaceae) у флорі України, її культивуванню в ботанічних садах та парках, а також розгляду спонтанного поширення й еколого-ценотичних особливостей цього виду. Методи. Класичні — порівняльно-флористичний та маршрутний, з використанням аналізу літературних джерел, гербарних матеріалів і даних електронних ресурсів.Результати. Узагальнені дані про культивування P. indica в Україні свідчать про досить широке її поширення в культурі. Вперше вид був згаданий як оранжерейна рослина у м. Умань в 1885 році, а впродовж XX ст. поширювався переважно по ботанічних садах та інших осередках інтродукції рослин. Перше спонтанне місцезростання виду було зафіксоване у 1925 році в околиці м. Житомир. Нині вид трапляється у різних природних та антропогенних біотопах, переважно у великих містах. Створено карту поширення виду, на якій вказано понад 50 спонтанних і квазіспонтанних місцезнаходжень у 22 регіонах України. Висновки. Нині P. indica є досить поширеним ергазіофігофітом у флорі України, з тенденцією до натуралізації, особливо в західних та північних регіонах. Вид демонструє адаптивність до антропогенних біотопів, але його широкомасштабних інвазій не прогнозується. Продовження моніторингу та дослідження участі цього виду у фітосоціальних угрупованнях залишається актуальним.
