| description | Against the background of current discussions on the conceptual framework of institutional researches, the topic on the necessity of significant changes in the approach itself is becoming increasingly relevant. In this regard, it may be useful to refer to the world-system analysis, but accustomed to the industrial economics. As in the case of the world-system analysis, which implies that national states are not societies with separate, parallel histories, but represent parts of a whole, reflecting this whole, it is also appropriate to consider elements of the microeconomics in their economic and historical interaction and interdependence in the framework of industrial economics.Due to the abovementioned, the objective of the paper is to summarize the development of business structures of industrial economics in the light of the world-system analysis’ ideas.To achieve this goal, next tools and methods were used: microcosm-system analysis.Results and conclusions. The analysis of the historical development of business structures in the international coal industry and the coal engineering sector as mini-systems, microcosm-economies and microcosm-empires is carried out. The effects of interaction between coal mining structures and enterprises, supplying equipment to them in countries with unprofitable and cost-effective coal mining, are shown. The tendency of multinational microcosm-empires’ expansion and the spread of alliances of microcosm-economies (microcosm-empires) were revealed. |

На фоне нынешних дискуссий вокруг концептуальных рамок институциональных исследований все более актуальной становится тема существенного изменения самого подхода. В этом плане полезным может быть обращение к мир-системному анализу, преломленному в экономике промышленности. Как и в мир-системном анализе, подразумевающем, что национальные государства являются не обществами с отдельными, параллельными историями, а частями целого, отражающими это целое, так и в экономике промышленности уместно рассмотрение элементов микроэкономического мира в их экономическом и историческом взаимодействии.Выполнен анализ исторического развития бизнес-структур в международной угольной промышленности и секторе угольного машиностроения как мини-систем, микрокосм-экономик и микрокосм-империй. Показаны эффекты взаимодействия угледобывающих структур с предприятиями, поставляющими им оборудование, в странах с убыточной и экономически эффективной добычей угля. Выявлена тенденция экспансии многонациональных микрокосм-империй и распространения альянсов микрокосм-экономик (микрокосм-империй). На тлі нинішніх дискусій навколо концептуальних рамок інституційних досліджень усе більш актуальною стає тема істотної зміни самого підходу. У цьому плані корисним може стати звернення до світ-системного аналізу, переломленого в економіці промисловості. Як і в світ-системному аналізі, який передбачає, що національні держави є не суспільствами з окремими, паралельними історіями, а частинами цілого, які відображають це ціле, так і в економіці промисловості доцільним є розгляд елементів мікроекономічного світу в їх економічній та історичній взаємодії.Виконано аналіз історичного розвитку бізнес-структур у міжнародній вугільній промисловості та секторі вугільного машинобудування як міні-систем, мікрокосм-економік і мікрокосм-імперій. Показано ефекти взаємодії вугледобувних структур із підприємствами, що постачають їм обладнання, у країнах зі збитковим та економічно ефективним видобутком вугілля. Виявлено тенденцію експансії багатонаціональних мікрокосм-імперій і поширення альянсів мікрокосм-економік (мікрокосм-імперій).
