Technical Electrodynamics| Summary: | Benefits of using electronic current and voltage transformers in the "digital" substations is recognized all over the world and meets the requirements of the concept of Smart Grid. The interface between the electronic sensors and secondary systems requires considerable attention, because it determines the interoperability level with secondary equipment in the substation. Interface requirements to high voltage electronic current and voltage transducers are defined. Some variants of connecting of current and voltage transformers to process bus of digital substation are considered. Specified on the feasibility of using fiber optic lines and installing merging unit in the field of substation near the current transformers. The description of the communication stack of transmission of instantaneous sampled values of current and voltage to the secondary equipment and a description of the reference frame of transmission of these values are given.
