Резюме:Sorbitol as condensed and/or adsorbed on high disperse silica surface has been studied by means of temperature-programmed desorption mass spectrometry. Three stages of water evolution have been observed and identified for all the samples. The values of activation energy have been calculated related to the first two stages (100°C, 170°C) as well as the intensity ratio for corresponding maxima. The first stage has been assigned to elimination of weakly bound water, the second one – to evolution of crystal hydrate water. The third stage (200–600°C) has been identified as that caused by sorbitol dehydroxylation.
