Surface| Summary: | Silica supported chromium (III) acetylacetonate state has been characterized by means of diffuse reflectance electron spectroscopy and quantum chemical simulation. An attempt was made to describe theoretically the related absorption band shifts observed in electron spectra. Spectral data confirm the molecular adsorption. The results of calculations give us an opportunity to believe the red shift in spectral bands in the case of supported complex to be caused by the interaction of normal chromium acetylacetonate molecule with silanol groups via CH groups and/or oxygen atoms. |
