Резюме:The paper is devoted to the study of metronidazole and b‑cyclodextrin complexation process in water solutions and on high disperse silica surface. Using UV-spectroscopy method it was shown that complex formation took place in solutions with molar ratio metronidazole : cyclodextrin of 1:100 and 1:500. A method of adsorption modification of fumed silica with b‑cyclodextrin was proposed. By the means of IR-spectroscopy it was found that b‑cyclodextrin molecules adsorbed by the impregnation method formed clusters on silica surface while the modification under pseudo-liquid conditions in the intensive mixing reactor allowed getting more regular surface coverage, what was necessary for further complexation with metronidazole. The formation of inclusion complexes on silica surface due to step-by-step modification with b‑cyclodextrin and metronidazole was revealed using UV-spectroscopy and differential thermal analysis.
