Surface| Summary: | Samles of fire extinguishing powders have been obtained due to following the results of quantum chemical calculations on reactivity of phosphorus-containing compounds and radicals (both gas phase and grafted to silica surface). Their activity has been checked in extinguishing oxygen-hydrogen flame. The greater extinguishing activity of phosphorus-containing samples as compared with that of the standard P2-APM powder has been shown to be connected with both dicrease in bond dissociation energy for surface compounds on modified silica and ultradisperse state of phosphorus-containing silica. |
