Description
Summary:The adsorption of acridine and its diaminoderivatives has been studied on the surface of fumed silica modified with macrocyclic polyether dibenzo-18-crown-6 from aqueous solution. Practically all studied compounds are adsorbed from acidic solution on modified silica surface better than at the initial silica surface. Adsorption constants of molecules under investigation depend on their hydrophobicity. Fixation of hydrophobic molecules of crown-ether may contribute to this phenomenon.
