Food Industry Economics| Summary: | The importance of research and practical regulation of the processes of industrial processing of agricultural products for further supply both to the domestic market and export to the EU countries and other countries of the world has been emphasized. The dynamics and structure of exports of agro-industrial products from Ukraine over the past few years have been analyzed and the measures to the activation of foreign trade and the saturation of domestic markets with finished products with high added value have been determined, taking into account the high level of necessity under the current challenges, the resistance to military aggression, the need for post-war recovery and the achievement of the European integration aim – all of the mentioned substantiates the need for agri-food products export improvement. It has been confirmed that in the near future the EU markets will be the center for organizing the sales of the domestic products for consumption and transit access to the markets of other countries, including for the purpose of food security and safety. A methodical approach has been proposed to analyze the export of goods by Ukraine in terms of assessing a portion of agricultural food products. It has been established that the rate of trade in food products in general export operations is significant for Ukraine and accounts for more than 32% in general export operations, which contributes to the special profile of foreign countries and trade. The difficulties with the transportation of raw materials, including mostly grain products, directly to the EU countries have been determined. The necessity of application of measures concerning the additional processing of the certain part of the products with the aim of expanding the terms of conservation, decreasing the demands for the means of transportation and increasing the added value products, which fundamentally promotes economic efficiency in exports,has been substantiated. Based on the assessment of the average price of exports and imports of food products, a several multiple backlog in the value of agricultural food exports versus imports with EU countries was established, which is an indicator of low level of realization of national economic interests. The measures to support the export of agricultural products to the EU countries have been substantiated. They include elements of infrastructure and transport policy, as well as elements of advanced forms of business organization including the development of appropriate productions in the industrial parks.
