Description
Summary:Effect surface of geometry of bulk catalysts on the activation energy of a heterogeneous catalytic process has been studied. A relation was found between the activation energy of reaction and the catalyst fractal dimension. The regularities obtained were illustrated, heterogeneous catalytic CO oxidation on silica and zirconia being taken as an example. An increase in surface fractal dimension of the catalyst was shown to increase the activation energy of the reaction.
