The article offers a comprehensive analysis of the historical development and future prospects for the food industry with a focus on management aspects. The study is based on the study of the stages of the evolution of this industry, including the periods of technological and socio-cultural changes that influenced its development. In particular, the article discusses possible directions for the development of management strategies that can help enterprises adapt to future challenges and ensure their competitiveness. Therefore, this article reflects not only the historical aspects of the development of the food industry, but also provides the view of its future from the perspective of management, which makes it useful both for practitioners in the industry and for scholars interested in strategic management and innovation.
