Food Industry Economics| Zusammenfassung: | The article presents the results of the research devoted to the institutional provision of the selective regulation of the vegetable market in the war and post-war periods. The analysis of geographic, commodity and time limits of the market has been carried out. Indicators of market capacity and the degree of its openness have been determined.
The characteristics of the production and distribution and sales sectors of the market have been provided. According to the generalized product nomenclature, the trends in the structure of sown areas and the volume of vegetable production have been determined. A comparative analysis of product sales channels used by small and large producers has been performed. The attention has been focused on the market's inherent increased price volatility. It has been emphasized that the conditions of competitive relations between market participants are close to the market model of pure (perfect) competition due to the predominance of the share of small producers. As a leading trend in export-import supplies of products, the accelerated growth of import volumes in comparison with export volumes, both in physical terms and in terms of value, has been determined. The attention has been drawn to the negative trend of increasing of import dependence on individual countries.It has been emphasized that in the war and post-war periods, the balanced functioning of the vegetable market largely depends on the effectiveness of the inter-subject interaction of the participants. It has been concluded that in the conditions of an unstable economic situation, it is advisable to pay attention to the prospects of strengthening the institutional levers of influence on small businesses, primarily households, as a priority direction of the selective market support.The scientific novelty of the study consists in the development of a conceptual scheme for the introduction of institutional mechanisms of the selective regulation of the vegetable market in the war and post-war period through the effective interaction of households with farms and agro-enterprises on the basis of the production and sale of homogeneous commodity batches of products simultaneously with their high-quality and long-term storage, which will allow to balance supply and demand for vegetable products in terms of volume, quality and price in the context of challenges and threats to the security environment. |
