Description
Summary:The article considers the relevance of using benchmarking as a tool of comparative analysis to ensure sustainable and effective regional development. In the context of modern challenges caused by globalization, decentralization and high competition between regions, traditional management models are losing their effectiveness. This emphasizes the need to adapt management approaches to new realities, focusing on the best global practices. Benchmarking is proposed as an effective tool for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of regions, assessing their potential and developing strategies adapted to local conditions. The article analyzes the types of benchmarking - external, strategic, internal and functional, their advantages and integration possibilities for creating multifaceted development models. Integration of benchmarking into regional management policy allows you to create a platform for continuous improvement. Using this tool allows you not only to analyze past achievements, but also to predict development prospects based on successful cases of other regions. Of particular value is the combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches in benchmarking, which contribute to making decisions focused on long-term results. Thus, benchmarking acts as a catalyst for the formation of innovative solutions adapted to the specific needs of the region, creating conditions for increasing its competitiveness in the global environment. The purpose of the study is to analyze benchmarking and its types as a comparative analysis tool that allows identifying best practices and adapting them for use in regional management, which allows optimizing resources, avoiding common mistakes and accelerating the implementation of best practices. The conclusions emphasize the importance of benchmarking for ensuring sustainable development of regions, optimizing resources and increasing the efficiency of management decisions.
