Zusammenfassung:In the article it has been considered that recent global economic trends highlight the growing importance of sustainable development. Tourism, widely recognized as one of the fastest-growing industries, can significantly contribute to this goal. By boosting economic growth, generating jobs, and promoting cultural exchange, it becomes a driving force for regional development. However, tourism also brings challenges. Exploring how public tourism management influences sustainable regional development is now a top priority for policymakers and researchers. This research aims to explore the dynamic interaction between public tourism management and sustainable regional development to improve governance practices. Today, public tourism management encounters new challenges. Digitalization is transforming communication and calls for innovative approaches to enhance transparency and involve communities in decision-making. Environmental crises compel to raise questions of  careful resource management and biodiversity conservation, both of which directly affect the success of tourism projects. Climate change, ethical travel demand, and community development require innovative strategies for managing tourism sustainably. Finding a balance between economic gains and sustainable development has become a pivotal challenge in modern tourism management. While tourism offers significant potential to stimulate local economies and generate substantial revenue, its true value lies in fostering meaningful social impact. This includes creating stable employment opportunities, empowering local communities to participate in decision-making processes, and encouraging authentic cultural dialogue. However, environmental sustainability remains a critical foundation for long-term success. Tourist attractions that neglect ecological requirements – such as preserving natural resources and mitigating pollution – inevitably risk diminishing their appeal and economic viability, as modern travelers increasingly prioritize responsible tourism practices. Sustainable tourism, therefore, requires forward-thinking management strategies that integrate environmental, social, and economic considerations into a cohesive and resilient development framework.
