Резюме:The article examines the key factors and trends of world economic development in the context of increasing global competition for resources and markets. These include: global socialization; concentration and centralization of capital; struggle for a new economic and trade division of the world; countercyclicality and debt nature of the modern world economy. It has been proven that the modern economy is characterized by the concentration and centralization of capital, the growing role of megaprojects, the formation of a unipolar economic space and the strengthening of debt risks. Considerable attention has been paid to the impact of new technological revolutions, which, on the one hand, create conditions for digital transformation and innovation, and on the other hand, form threats of technological unemployment and social inequality. The phenomenon of the “Trump phenomenon” is considered as an example of economic policy aimed at countering globalization challenges and restoring national employment. The main directions of development of the world economic society in the 21st century have been identified: digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence, the formation of a gig economy platform, greening of production and the transition to a circular economy, global integration combined with protectionism and regionalization, as well as the transformation of labor relations. Particular attention has been paid to the growth of inequality between countries and within national economies, which is due to uneven access to technologies and financial resources. It has been substantiated that the combination of digital transformation, green economy, development of new energy technologies and regulatory mechanisms will determine a new economic order within which global challenges and opportunities will be formed. The emphasis has been made on the role of Ukraine in the world economic architecture, the importance of diversifying foreign economic relations and finding strategies to ensure competitiveness through the development of knowledge-intensive sectors and technology transfer. The results can be used to predict scenarios for the development of international economic relations and develop strategies for adapting national economies to dynamic changes in the world economy.
