The article provides a comprehensive theoretical, methodological, and applied justification of strategic mechanisms for ensuring Ukraine’s food security under the transformational challenges at both global and national levels. It analyzes the main threats and risks adversely affecting the agrarian sector of the economy, particularly the impact of military actions, disruption of logistics chains, destruction of infrastructure, limited access to foreign markets, and changes in the structure of supply and demand. It has been determined that under modern conditions, strategic management acts as a key element of the adaptive management model of agricultural enterprises, ensuring increased resilience, innovation capacity, and the ability to formulate effective anti-crisis strategies. The need for the implementation of strategic planning as a systemic approach to managing resources, risks, and competitiveness in agricultural production has been substantiated. Special attention has been paid to the role of production diversification, digitalization of management processes, technological modernization, business social responsibility, and the formation of sustainable partnership networks in the system of strategic management. The experience of Ukrainian enterprises during martial law regarding the adaptation of strategic approaches to ensuring food security has been analyzed. It has been established that the efficiency of the food system directly depends on the ability of agricultural enterprises to flexibly respond to threats and proactively form development strategies under high uncertainty. Practical recommendations have been formulated for developing strategies focused on minimizing food-related risks, strengthening the competitive position of the agrarian sector, and achieving Ukraine’s food independence. It has been concluded that strategic management must be an integrated component of state policy in the field of agricultural development and security to ensure long-term stability of the food market and improvement of population welfare.
