Summary:Polypropylene strings containing combined nano-dimensional addition were prepared. The influence on phase transitions and physico-chemical properties in polypropylene (PP) was studied. It is shown that presence of nanodimensional addition is broadening the temperature range of PP melting, so indicating crystallites’ formation of more broad dimensional dispersion. The improving of physico-mechanical properties at its content of 0.1 – 1 % mass. takes place: increase of tensile strength and modulus of elasticity, decrease of shrinkage factor at drying conditions. It has been found that polypropylene strings containing Ag/SiO2 addition have bactericidal properties what is important for their use as seam materials in surgery practice.
