Zusammenfassung:Fumed silicas synthesized under varied conditions (stoichiometric or non- stoichiometric amounts of reactants SiC4, O2 and H2, different nozzle diameter, flow velocity and turbulence, flame temperature) were studied using adsorption of nitrogen, argon and water, infrared (IR), photon correlation spectroscopy and electrokinetic methods. Prepared silicas possess different specific surface area, structures of primary particles and their swarms, concentrations of silanols, weakly and strongly bound waters.
