Surface| Summary: | By powder diffraction CaO hydrolysis in aqueous suspension in the presence of CaCl2, CaSO4, KOH and precipitated SiO2 was investigated. It was shown the possibility of applying this method to the study of processes longer than 20-30 minutes. It was established that the addition of silica to quicklime in an amount of 1.5% contributes to the formation of smaller nanocrystals of Ca (OH)2 in the hydrated lime. The technique can be used to study the processes of crystal formation in concentrated suspensions. |
