Description
Summary:A study of glucose oxidase adsorption has been undertaken from a solution of the enzyme (0.125 mmol dm-3) in acetate buffer (pH 4) onto mesoporous aluminosilicates synthesized in the presence of biomolecules (lecithin, glucose oxidase). These aluminosilicates displays a high sorption capacity (up to 150 mg/g). The physical adsorption of the enzyme showed clear dependence on pore diameter of the materials. The porous structure of such inclusion compounds was detailed. The glucose oxidase cannot be removed from the aluminosilicates with repeated washing in the acetate buffer.
