Description
Summary:Cemented carbides of the WC-6Co system, used for the manufacture of dies of the "anvil with recess" type in high-pressure devices, work under conditions of cyclic loads under high pressure (up to 1-10 GPa) and high temperature (1000 - 1700 °С). Therefore, an important task of the work was to determine changes in the phase composition of the material or in its individual components operating under such conditions. For this, the X- ray  method of material analysis was used. It was established that as a result of the action of high pressure (8 GPa) and high temperature (1550 °С in 1 and 2 load cycles) on a WC-Co cemented carbides, the phase composition of the material remains unchanged. As a result of the analysis, differences in the obtained results were noticed depending on the quality of the preparation of the surface of the sample before the shooting. Therefore, this work shows the influence of the quality of the surface treatment of the studied samples on the determination of their phase composition. The higher the quality of the prepared surface, that is, on the surface of the sample where the grind was prepared (mirror surface without scratches and with minimal roughness, less than 1 μm), the more accurate the results of measuring the width of the peaks will be, as well as their number and quality. During X-ray imaging the surface of the WC-6Co hard alloy sample immediately after rough grinding with diamond wheels with a grain size of more than 120 μm, X-ray patterns with broad peaks were obtained, which led to the fusion of closely spaced ones.
