The article examines the modern requirements for web portals, the existing functionality of the sites and portals of the leading scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences, the methods and software used to develop these portals. General recommendations for the modernization of the existing INM web portal and its integration with social networks, methods and means by which this modernization can be carried out are proposed. Предметом дослідження статті є аналіз сучасних підходів до розробки інформаційних порталів наукового та академічного напрямків. У статті розглянуто сучасні вимоги до веб-порталів, наявний функціонал сайтів та порталів провідних наукових установ НАНУ, методики та програмне забезпечення за допомогою яких розроблено ці портали. Запропоновані загальні рекомендації щодо модернізації існуючого веб-порталу ІНМ та його інтеграції з соціальними мережами, методи і засоби за допомогою яких можна провести цю модернізацію.
