Zusammenfassung:The electrical resistance of pressureless sintered ceramic AlN–50% SiC composites, suitable for use as bulk microwave radiation absorbers, has been investigated. The bulk and surface electrical resistance of the composites were measured with a digital multimeter UT 30D and a digital megohmmeter BM 500A. For this purpose, a two-probe method for measuring the surface resistance of small-sized samples Æ4.2×1.0 mm from the composite was developed. A set of devices was manufactured for applying four pairs of contact pads Æ0.6 mm to the surface of the disk and its reliable fixation during the measurement of the surface electrical resistance. For three groups of disks with different quality factors Q = 44, 55 and 70, the average values of the surface resistance determined are: 136, 212 and 300 kΩ, and the corresponding average values of the bulk resistance are: 7.0; 9.2 and 11.8 kΩ. Analysis of the experimental data set revealed a relationship between surface and bulk electrical resistance: higher bulk resistance corresponds to higher surface resistance, with surface resistance being 19.4–25.4 times higher than bulk resistance
